Random Number Generator (RNG) functions (hurandom.h)

The functions in this section are used in pseudorandom number generation. The security of pseudorandom number generators (RNGs), also known as deterministic random bit generators, depends largely on the randomness of the seed. The seed used to initialize a pseudorandom number generator must contain enough entropy for the RNG to be secure. An RNG should also be reseeded from time to time. The user-defined callback hu_ReseedCallbackFunc() can be used to link an external random seeding function to Security Builder's RNG.
