Debug token

If you want to test your application on BlackBerry 10 device by loading an unsigned .bar file, you must create and upload the debug token on the BlackBerry 10 device.

Create a debug token

  1. To create a debug token, in Eclipse, on the Windows menu, click Preferences > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Tools SDK > Bar Signer.
  2. In the Debug Tokens section, click Create.
  3. In the Create debug token window, click Add.
  4. In the Add Devices window, PIN. Click Ok.
  5. In the Create Debug Token window, click Ok.

Upload the debug token

To debug on a BlackBerry 10 device, you must have a BlackBerry ID token and a developer certificate created prior to uploading the debug token.

  1. To upload the debug token on the BlackBerry 10 device, in Eclipse, on the Windows menu, click Preferences > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Tools SDK > Bar Signer.
  2. In the Debug Tokens section, click on the debug token that you created.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. In the Upload Debug Token to Devices window, check the name of the target device that you want to upload the debug token to. Click OK.
