When you are ready to publish and distribute your application, it needs to be signed. Signing helps verify the authorship of your applications to users and the BlackBerry 10 OS.
Before you can distribute your application for use on a BlackBerry 10 device, you must sign your application.
How do I sign my app?
- Set up your computer to sign applications (first-time set up).
- Sign your application.
If you want to test an unsigned application on a or BlackBerry 10 device, you’ll need to set up and install a debug token. Debug tokens use part of the signing functionality so although you don’t need to sign the application, you do need to set up your computer for code signing. For more information on debug tokens, see Using debug tokens.
