acl_size()

Determine the size of the external form of an ACL

Synopsis:

#include <sys/acl.h>

ssize_t acl_size( acl_t acl );

Arguments:

acl
A pointer to an ACL.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The acl_size() function calculates the size, in bytes, of the buffer required to hold the exportable, contiguous, persistent form of the given ACL.

Returns:

The size, in bytes, or -1 if an error occurred ( errno is set).

Errors:

EINVAL
The acl argument doesn't point to a valid ACL.
