acl_add_perm()

Add a permission to an access control list (ACL) permission set

Synopsis:

#include <sys/acl.h>

int acl_add_perm( acl_permset_t permset_d,
                  acl_perm_t perm );

Arguments:

permset_d
The permission set that you want to modify.
perm
The permission that you want to add; one of the following:
  • ACL_EXECUTE
  • ACL_READ
  • ACL_WRITE

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The acl_add_perm() function adds a permission to an ACL permission set.

Returns:

0, or -1 if an error occurred ( errno is set).

Errors:

EINVAL
The permset_d argument isn't a valid descriptor for a permission set, or perm doesn't contain a valid permission value.
