Description

The <packageId> element specifies the identifier for the package as assigned by the BlackBerry Signing Authority server. If you don't provide a value, one it is generated for you by the BlackBerry Signing Authority server using the <versionNumber> and <authorId> elements.

You can use the same identifier for both signed and unsigned applications. You must sign your package to register the identifier that you specify.
