Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL

"Engines" are modules that can be installed in OpenSSL to implement required cryptographic functionality in place of OpenSSL's native implementations.

A standard interface for engines is built into OpenSSL. Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL is an engine that uses the Security Builder cryptographic library as the underlying provider of functionality. Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL is designed to be dynamically-loaded by OpenSSL at runtime.

OpenSSL ENGINE API documentation may be found at http://www.openssl.org/docs/crypto/engine.html.
