Back up code-signing keys manually

After you install your code signing keys, you should create a backup of the keys and store them in a separate location from your computer.
  1. Navigate to the directory that contains your code signing keys. For more information about the default location for code signing keys, see Default location for code signing keys.
  2. Copy the following files to a backup file location:
    • barsigner.csk
    • barsigner.db
    • yourkeyname.p12
      The default file name for the developer certificate is author.p12
