BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator Known issues

This section lists known issues for the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator running BlackBerry 7.1.

Media

Issue	Workaround
The BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator does not have a store of preloaded ringtones. The default ringtone is still present. (1460845) Impact: You must download your own ringtones.	You must download your own ringtone if you want to change the ringtone.
When you play a media file in the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator, you cannot scroll through the controls using the mouse wheel. (1250345) Impact: You cannot access some of the controls.	None.

BlackBerry Maps

When starting the BlackBerry Maps application, the device displays an `Error starting net_rim_bb_maps: Module 'ServicePlanEngine' not found` error. (2058270) Impact: You cannot use the BlackBerry Maps application.	None.
When starting the BlackBerry Maps application, the device displays the `App Err 104 MapException` error and then displays a blank screen. (1254729) Impact: You cannot use the BlackBerry Maps application.	Complete one of the following: Switch the radio connection off and then on Turn on a Wi-Fi profile

Issue

BlackBerry Browser

Issue	Workaround
When you try to navigate to a website using the BlackBerry Browser, the BlackBerry Browser closes unexpectedly. This issue is associated with NVidia video cards and only occurs on web sites that use overlays. (2329486) Impact: All BlackBerry Browser tabs are closed. You are prompted to re-open the pages that were previously opened.	Update the drivers for your graphics card.
When you open multiple tabs in the BlackBerry Browser the BlackBerry Browser stops responding and closes all tabs. (2424370) Impact: All BlackBerry Browser tabs are closed and all open content is lost.	None.

A connection cannot be made when using the IC NFC Simulator with NFC enabled on the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator. (1891179) Impact: The NFC Simulator cannot be used.	None.
A `NullPointerException` error is thrown on boot for BBSecureElement when initializing the NFC in the command line. (2530307) Impact: The NFC Simulator cannot be used.	None.
