Packaging and testing applications

Let's see what you can do with the Ripple emulator and the BlackBerry WebWorks SDK.

If you have an existing jQuery application already available on the Internet, you can use the Ripple emulator to test it. If you don't have an application to try out, try any of the samples on the jQuery sample page.

System requirements

Before you install the BlackBerry WebWorks SDK or the Ripple emulator, make sure your system meets the requirements for either the BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for smartphones or BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for tablets, and for the Ripple emulator.

You should also have a local web server installed that the Ripple emulator can access, although you can load files from your local file system without a web server as well. See Accessing a project from the file system in Ripple if you don't plan to install a web server.
