Wrapping an app

The first step in converting your app to a work space app is to obtain a secured (or wrapped) version of the app. App wrapping is a process that adds a layer of security and control to an existing app by adding security code and then repackaging the app.

To have your app wrapped, send the .apk or .ipa file to your system administrator. The administrator uploads the binary file to the BlackBerry Infrastructure to create a wrapped version of your app. If this process does not successfully create a secured version of your app, review the requirements for converting your app to a work space app.

When wrapping is complete, your app is repackaged and returned to you so that you can re-sign it. After you re-sign your app, the administrator can add it to the list of available apps.
