Splash screens

A splash screen appears when your app is opened. If you don't define a splash screen, a default BlackBerry splash screen will appear.

Apps, like people, have only one chance to make a good first impression, so get creative and make a splash (literally).

Best practices

Don't crowd the splash screen with too much content. A simple layout of well-selected, well-placed elements works best.

Provide useful information. Consider adding information like app version or app loading progress to the splash screen.
