Enterprise activation types

BlackBerry Balance technology lets users use BlackBerry 10 devices for both work and personal use. Devices classify data as work or personal based on the source of the data. The classifications determine how devices store, protect, and manage data. For example, if data comes from a work account, it is stored in the work space on the device. If data comes from a personal account, it is stored in the personal space.

Using BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) or BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12 (BES12), an organization can activate a device to use BlackBerry Balance technology, regulated BlackBerry Balance technology, or to have a work space only.
