What is the Limited Edition device?
The Limited Edition devices will be a specially designed fully functional BlackBerry 10 device built to help recognize those developers that helped launch the BlackBerry 10 platform by submitting quality 3rd party applications.

The Limited Edition devices will be available 6-8 weeks post BlackBerry 10 launch on January 30th, 2013.How do I get a Limited Edition device?
In order to obtain a Limited Edition device you must qualify per the Terms & Conditions. You must also have a Dev Alpha device.
- Submit a qualifying BlackBerry 10 app before February 28th.
- Complete the registration here using the App ID from step 1. This step does not need to happen before February 28th.
- We will send you a note indicating whether or not you qualify and, if you qualify, we will provide you with instructions on how trade in your Dev Alpha.

The BlackBerry Dev Alpha testing devices were given out in response to developer requests for testing hardware. They are a development tool that goes hand in hand with our priority native toolsets — the BlackBerry 10 Native SDK, BlackBerry 10 WebWorks and BlackBerry 10 SDK for Adobe AIR. The Limited Edition BlackBerry 10 device is a way for us to show our appreciation for those developers who have used these tools to make amazing apps.

Do applications developed using the BlackBerry App Generator qualify?
Although the BlackBerry App Generator is a great tool and we fully support its use and intention, users of that tool do not need a Dev Alpha device to produce an app, and so those applications do not qualify.What happens if my application doesn't meet the qualifications?
If your application does not meet the qualifications you can update the application per the Terms & Conditions and re-submit by March 31st, 2013.What happens after the trade has been requested?
You will receive a confirmation email that you have requested to trade in your Dev Alpha device. Once the shipping process is initiated you will be contacted with instructions on how to return your Dev Alpha device. After the Dev Alpha has been received, the new device will be shipped once available post BlackBerry 10 launch on January 30th, 2013.When should I return my Dev Alpha device?
Once you receive notification that your application has been approved for the Limited Edition program, you can follow the shipping instructions provided at any time. However RIM will not begin shipping Limited Edition devices until 6-8 weeks after BlackBerry 10 Launch on January 30th, 2013.I've started the exchange process, how long will it take to receive my Limited Edition?
To exchange your Dev Alpha device for the Limited Edition, please allow:
- 1-3 weeks for the return of the Dev Alpha to be completed
- 2-6 weeks for the shipping of a Limited Edition device (after launch)
You will receive notification once the Limited Edition device has been shipped to you with tracking information.Is there a warranty on the Limited Edition devices?
Yes all Limited Edition devices have a 1 year warranty with 1 replacement per device. The 1 year will start from the time you receive your Limited Edition device. There is no new 1 year warranty on the replacement device should you need to replace the device.
