A8 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Jun on time
We are working to upgrade the Android Runtime from Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 to Jelly Bean 4.2.2. The goal is to support all current features and APIs available on the Android runtime today and evaluate new features and APIs for inclusion, such as fragments, embedded fragments and the animation framework. -
A8 HW Acceleration Jun on time
Android applications built for API level 14 can now leverage hardware acceleration by default. This will improve the overall performance and smoothness of applications within the runtime. -
A8 Tooling update Jun on time
Eclipse plug-in and command-line tools beta update. Support for the updated runtime and Eclipse Juno 4.2. Contains additional bug fixes.

The Altimeter APIs provide sensor pressure readings, temperature readings, and current altitude. -

A7 Contacts Support MAR landed
In addition to adding contact information to a new or existing contact, contacts can be selected from the native BlackBerry 10 contacts application. Edits to contact information are synchronized between the Android Runtime and the native BlackBerry 10 contacts app. - Release Feature Date Status
