Checking the compatibility of your .apk files
Because some of the Android SDK APIs are not supported, or are only partially supported, by the BlackBerry Runtime for Android apps, not all APK files will be readily compatible with the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry 10 devices. Before you run the apk2bar tool to repackage all of your APK files and spend time testing them, you may want to pre-screen them to assess how successful the repackaging of each of these apps is likely to be. If an app is not likely to be functional on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry 10 device, then you might decide it is not worthwhile to repackage it.
The apk2barVerifier tool analyzes the code of the APK file and compares it to the list of unsupported Android features, classes, and packages. The tool then produces a report that contains a warning, with an associated impact level, for each unsupported API used by the APK file.
For a complete list of the unsupported Android APIs review the API support documentation (http://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/)
