Plug-in setup

Before you can repackage, test and sign your Android application, you must first configure preferences in Eclipse for BlackBerry Plug-in for Android Development Tools. You can configure the preferences to register your signing keys, create a developer certificate, configure your target device for testing, and to create and upload a debug token.

Setup wizard

Although the preferences section allow you to perform the tasks listed above, the BlackBerry Deployment Setup Wizard can be used initially to setup the plug-in. It allows you to setup your device for testing, register your signing keys, and create and upload the debug token. Please note that the developer certificate is automatically created for you during this process. The following steps show how run the setup wizard.

1. In Eclipse, on the Windows menu, click Preferences > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Tools SDK > Bar Signer or Targets.
2. Click BlackBerry Deployment Setup Wizard.
