Update application version number

The version number for the BlackBerry 10 OS is made up of a series of four numbers separated by decimals (for example 1.0.5.357).
(Major).(Minor).(Revision).(Build)

Each time you sign your application, you must change at least one segment of the version number. You can change the major, minor, and revision numbers by updating the <versionNumber>X.X.X.X</versionNumber> element in the [Project_name]-app.xml file.

Update build revision

You can change the build number by updating the <buildId>X</buildId> element in your bar-descriptor.xml file.

Alternatively, you can specify the build ID using the buildId command line option when you package your application using the blackberry-airpackager tool. The buildId option accepts a number from 0 to 65535. If you specify a build number in both the bar-descriptor.xml and using the blackberry-airpackager tool, the value given to the blackberry-airpackager tool is used.

If you do not specify a build number, the default build segment of your version number is 0.
